Swine Flu & Halloween!

I think my biggest fear this year was that we would get swine flu and I would lose one of my loved ones to it. I was near tears daily over this fear. On Wednesday, October 28th, Jose called me and said he thought he was getting a cold, that night he felt terrible!!! By morning, he looked like death and was running a high fever. He went to the doctor, my fear was confirmed!!! I was so scared and worried, I didn't know what to do. I called in on Friday because I had a little cough and was scared it was maybe turning in to something but felt better after a few hours. I heard about a clinic in salt lake that had the swine flu vaccinations, so I packed up the kids and drove down there to wait in the freezing cold for 3 hours without being sure they would have enough. They told us when we got there that they were pretty sure they would NOT have enough! I had to risk it, these are my kids! And the nurse at my pediatrician's office said Zoe couldn't be treated if she got it because she was too little. This of course scared me to death. I was able to get the kids their shots, but I wasn't on the priority list so I couldn't get one, but at least the kids got there. At 4:00 in the morning Saturday morning, Zoe woke up with a fever and all the same symptoms! MY LITTLE GIRL GOT IT!!! I was absolutely terrified! I called the doctor and took her in. She was actually able to get treated. I think the nurse was thinking she was younger than she is. I asked the doctor if we could treat Ky as well since he's had RSV twice and may have asthma. She quickly agreed and gave me medicine for both kids. Monday I woke up with a terrible cough. I'm the mommy...I can't get sick! Who's gonna take care of everyone else? Luckily, I didn't get that sick, just a really bad cough, but not the terrible fever. By Friday I was feeling much better and finally able to go back to work the following Monday. As scared as I was to get it, I'm grateful it's over, now I'm not worried about every person I talk to being infected! What a load off. I hope everyone that gets it is able to get through it as easily as we did. The sad thing is, is that this was halloween weekend, so we didn't get to go trick or treating. I had to put a sign on the door so we didn't infect anyone that came to get candy either. I dressed up the kids even though we couldn't go out, just so I had pictures of them in their costumes.

First Snow of the Year!!!

Kyren absolutely loves the snow and was so excited for the first snow back in November. Last year he snuck outside and was playing in the snow in his diaper and a t-shirt, no pants, shoes, socks or jackets. He insists on throwing snowballs at me or daddy and he's almost impossible to get to come inside, unless it's about 5 degrees, then he's a little more agreeable. Love him to death. He is trying to catch the snowflakes on his tongue in these pictures!

Sienna's Baptism

On October 25, 2009, my sweet little niece Sienna was baptized! She of course looked beautiful and was sooo excited. It's so fun to get together with our family for such great occasions. The really cool thing is that Ry was able to baptize her. He's such a great daddy and did a great job! Love you Sienna, we're so proud of you!

Black Island Farms

On October 24th, 2009 we went to Black Island Farms with my family. We went through the corn maze, the kids rode a train, watch pigs race, ate amazing kettle corn and then went on a tractor ride to pick out our very own pumpkins. The kids had a riot!! That night we went back and went through the haunted house, just the adults of course. It was a ton of fun!

MY BIRTHDAY+FALL+HALLOWEEN=AWESOME

So my birthday was actually on Friday, the 16th. It started with Jose giving my new favorite jacket and getting me breakfast before I had to go to work. At work Natasha and Erica got my cupcakes, lip gloss and a cute little coin purse! They also did a little dance for me which was so fun! Poor Kenz was sick that day so we didn't get to celebrate together, but we will soon! I got so many birthday wishes and treats at work, it was so great!

I don't know very many people that get birthday weekends, but that's what I got!
Friday evening, my dad came to visit and give me a present, thanks for the money dad! Then Jose took me to Olive Garden for dinner. It was delicious, I haven't been there in forever!!! We then went home and got some more cute clothes and an awesome pair of boots from the sweetest most perfect husband ever!!! Saturday we went to a haunted house. All my friends ended up bailing for one reason or another so it was us, Ryan & Alaina and cute Shelly! We had a blast! We went to haunted hollow, which they've expanded, by the way. It was so much fun and I actually got scared this year. Love getting scared!!!

Then Sunday, we had my family party! It was a lot of fun to hang with the fam and have yummy ice cream cake (my fav).
My birthday was awesome!!! Only down side is my little lady is sick! She was pretty sick all weekend, but came down with a fever after everyone left last night. As you can tell by my posts, she was up all night. When I finally got her to sleep this morning, guess what?!? Mommy couldn't sleep! Poor little girl. Can't wait til the doc opens so I can get her better!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks again for all the love and wishes for my birthday!!!

Zoe's milestone: CRAWLING!!!!

My little lady has been pretty close to this HUGE milestone for a few weeks now. She officially started crawling last Sunday, October 11th, 2009 and hasn't stopped since. She did it while we were in sacrament. Jose was blessing the sacrament so he didn't see it. I tried to mouth to him "Zoe crawled" but he didn't get it until he came to sit with us. I can't believe how fast they grow up! She's a month ahead of everything so far that Ky did. She sat at 5 months, Ky sat at 6 months, she crawled at 7 months and Ky crawled at 8 months. She also learned how to go from laying down in any position i.e. back, front, side to be able to flip to her stomach, get on all fours and sit herself up. Ky didn't learn this until he had been crawling for quite some time, so of course this amazes me!!! Slow down my little baby girl, I can't get these moments back!

ARIZONA

So we went to Arizona several weeks ago. Sept. 22-Sept. 29th. We had a lot of fun and actually ended up staying two days longer than planned. When I signed up for the alerts to tell me what was available for airfare I had clicked the option that I only wanted the days I selected no other days. Well we got the alert for $191 per person with taxes included and I couldn't pass it up. So I immediately bought them. While in Arizona, my lovely sister-in-law, Amy informed me that my tickets were through the 29th which was Tuesday, we were supposed to go home SUNDAY!!! What was I going to do? I haven't had my job that long, I'm so going to be in trouble, plus we really need the money!!! OH CRAP! So I call my boss and he was totally cool about it...whew!!! That made me feel better and we got two whole extra days of vaca out of it!! That's always nice! There are a ton of pictures so beware.

Kyren and Ashlynn had this poor frog trapped for quite some time! They loved flashing the light on him and attempting to touch him. He was probably scared to death!!! There are hundreds of these every night around Jose's parents' house. I love it!

This is Jose and his cute lil sister and dad.

This is one where Ky was just tuckered out. He fell asleep in my arms like that. He never falls asleep in my arms anymore! I loved it of course!

At the airport. (This is actually on the way home, sorry I'm not in order here)

This is my cute babies playing on the bed in our room.

This is my brother and SIL with their kiddos.

Group photo.

Here is P-nut Ashlyn and Ky. They had a great time with the flashlights!

Nana, Tata and all the grandkids on the Gonzalez side!

Zoe absolutely loves her Nana. She would sit in the stroller and just stare at Nana while she made tortillas or cooked or whatever. Of course, Nana wouldn't let Zoe out of her sight. I think I maybe changed my kids diapers and fed them like a total of five times on the trip. I just wasn't allowed. Nana and Tata just missed the kids too much!

Jose has decided to go pro with his ATV riding abilities!!! He is such a crack-up. We had a lot of fun on the 4 wheeler.

Zoe zonked on Stacey and Jesse's floor and so did Ky. Ky enjoyed watching Wow Wow Wubbzy on his little dvd player. This kept him quite entertained on the airplane.

And now, this cute little guy is Asher Abraham, born September 18th, 2009 at 2:48 p.m., 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 inches long. He is such and sweet little guy! And of course Stacey looks amazing. I saw her just 5 days after birth and she looked as cute as ever! Right before we left she looked as if she had never had a baby!!! And of course, dumb dumb me didn't get any pictures of the cute little family, just this handsome little stud.
