LABOR AND DELIVERY OF ZOE ELAINE!

The next is me and Alaina just chilling waiting for the big moment. One last pic of the belly with the monitors on it. Mommy and Daddy right before the big event! And the last two pics are of me and my sisters and mom at the Celine Dion concert the night before I went into labor. I was really scared to go to the concert because I had Kyren early and I went through labor fast so I was scared it would put me into labor. I was contracting and had sooo much pressure through the whole concert but it was sooo fun. I'm so happy I didn't wimp out at the last minute.
Now for the story...I had a really big contraction on my way home from Ryan and Alaina's (we were out there for dinner, Alaina knew I wasn't feeling well so she invited us over...sooo sweet!!) The contraction hurt way more than the usual braxton hicks I had been having for months...After getting home I started to have a few more contractions...then more and more...I didn't want to get to the hospital too soon but I was scared to wait too because Kyren came so fast. We headed to the hospital around 10:00 p.m. They checked me first and I was a 3 and only 60% effaced, I knew I was going home when I heard that. I was hooked up to the machine and my contractions were still going but weren't showing up on the machine..stupid machine...After about an hour they told me my doctor wanted me to walk around labor and delivery for an hour and then get checked again, if I had made progress they would keep me, if not I was headed home. Jose and I were reluctant because we were certain I would be sent home....so we sleepily walked around for an hour. I got back and I was still a three but I was about 70% effaced this time.. The nurse said that I would be sent home and asked if I wanted a lortab for the pain. I said yes because I was hurting quite a bit (I couldn't believe this wasn't labor, I had experienced it before, how could I not know what it was) The nurse said I needed to be monitored for just a while longer...while being monitored Zoe's heart rate dipped three times.. The nurse then called the doc. He said admit her. Jose was asleep and was very confused as to why he was being sent to the hallway to call everyone. I told him we were staying and he asked for how long? I said until we have a baby...I had to explain everything that had happened because he had missed the last 10 minutes of conversation..I was admitted and moved to my room, when I got to the room they checked me and I was already a 5, so I would have for sure been back that night to have her had her heartrate not dropped. They broke my water at 1:30, I got the epidural at 2:30 and started to push, I pushed one tiny practice push, then one real one and she came out...all of her head and body. She was sooo tiny. Born February 24, 2009 at 3:49 a.m. 5lbs. 7oz. 18 inches long. She looked like a little doll!!! I can not believe how perfect she is. Sorry for such a long post.

Baby Update!!!

Well I guess since little Zoe will be joining us shortly I should update everyone on my pregnancy! It started out very rocky with being more sick than I've ever been in my life. I was sick with Kyren, but not like this! I hoped that meant it was a girl because it was sooo different. I did the drain-o pee test, and according to that, IT WAS A GIRL! For our September appointment the doctor gave us a 95% sure that IT WAS A GIRL! Then in October, we found out for sure we were having our beautiful little girl! We decided not to get ready until after Christmas because life was just too busy!! Well, then we started. Boy was it a job, but everything has turned out perfect! I absolutely love Zoe's room and can't wait to meet her. I have 3 weeks until my due date, but I'm pretty sure she'll be here within the week. I have been contracting like crazy and just feel like she'll be gracing us with her presence soon. I went to the doctor a week and a half ago and was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. My doctor has been out of town this week so I didn't have a check up. I will go again on Tuesday the 24th. At that appointment my doctor will strip my membranes. If you don't remember, that's exactly to the day how far along I was with Kyren and I got my membranes stripped and I went into labor that night. I can only hope things will go so smooth again. (I'm not planning on it, things could never go any better than they did with Ky, but I'm hoping!) I've posted some pictures of the pregnancy and the room. Hope you all enjoy. I will let everyone know when she's here.
The first picture is the positive pregnant test. I couldn't believe it was positive...I was already a week late and I had several negatives during that week.
The second picture is my bare belly early on...I'm not sure how many weeks I was.
The third I am 31 weeks prego...she was born a short six weeks later.
The fourth through sixth I was 36 weeks prego and soooo done!
The seventh one (out of order, sorry) is the drano pee test, it's greenish brown which means girl! I did this at 8 weeks prego and it was right!! I have never heard of anyone who it wasn't right on...it's awesome!
Hope you all enjoy! I plan on getting better at this really!
